Project overview

The Inventory Management System is a digital platform designed to streamline the process of managing and tracking equipment loans within an organization.

Problem

Before the implementation of this system, managing equipment loans was a time-consuming and inefficient process. Tracking who had borrowed what equipment, ensuring proper documentation, and manually handling loan requests were all done through paper-based systems, resulting in errors, delays, and lack of visibility. The process was fragmented, which often led to miscommunication, lost items, and difficulties in keeping track of warranties and product details.

Solution

The Inventory Management System provides a centralized solution to streamline and automate the entire equipment loan process. It enables the IT department to register new products, track loans, and manage user requests all in one place. The system automatically notifies administrators of new loan requests from HR, allowing them to view the equipment requested, approve or reject the loan, and generate the necessary documentation, including contracts and receipts.

My role

As the UX/UI Designer and Project Manager for the Inventory Management System, I was responsible for leading the design process from start to finish.

Design Process

Throughout this process, I used Lean UX principles to prioritize rapid iteration and real-time feedback, ensuring the design was user-focused and efficient. By following Design Thinking, I kept the process flexible and adaptable, focusing on solving real user problems with creative solutions.
